I am keen to learn what software can do for me, and have familiarity with a variety of IT applications. A large proportion of this knowledge is self-taught, from books, through trial & error, and with some helpful courses.
- Digitisation Projects
- Currently using Microsoft Home Vista Premium/Office 2007. Proficient user of Microsoft Windows 1997/2000/XP and advanced level user of Microsoft Office 97/XP (ECDL and ECDL Advanced qualifications).
- Extensive experience of using Macromedia Dreamweaver 4.0, currently using Dreamweaver MX. See: Portfolio
- I have used proprietry Content Management Systems (CMS), including Joomla and WordPress, and provided input at the development stages for the CMS system now in use at the University of Winchester. I prefer focusing on content (especially the overall structure and the searchability) rather than programming, but have a working knowledge of HTML/CSS, tending to work in the code/image view within Dreamweaver.
- Adobe PhotoShop 5.5 (Also 6.0; 7.0)
- SPSS 11.0 (data entry and adding variables, not analysis)
- Quicken 3.0; GnuCash
- Easy CD-Creator; Nero Burning CD-Rom
- WinZip; 7-Zip
- Extensive Social Networking skills.
