“On 20th July it’s exactly one year since James Cracknell was seriously injured in a cycling accident in America. His helmet saved him. James has made a short film to encourage others to wear cycle helmets. To show your support, pass the film to your friends and most importantly, when you’re out cycling, use your head. Use your helmet.”

What Mr Cracknell doesn’t mention is that he is sponsored by a helmet manufacturer http://www.alpina-helmets.co.uk/athletes.html
Also, nowhere with a helmet law or massive rise in helmet wearing because of propaganda like this can show any reduction in risk to cyclists. Check out cyclehelmets.org
This is indeed a powerful and moving video, but there’s one little thing Mr Cracknell isn’t telling you: he’s sponsored by a helmet manufacturer http://www.alpina-helmets.co.uk/athletes.html
The very one that he claims saved his life. I wonder how many helmets they’ve sold since this video was released?
