book-cover-bex-lewis-160Are you worried about what your children might be doing online? What they might come across by accident? Or who might try to contact them through social media? Or do you just want them to get the most out of the new technology? Whether you are a parent, grandparent, teacher or youth leader, you probably have some concerns about keeping children safe online, but also want to know how they (and you) can use it to its full advantage.

Dr Bex Lewis is keen to ensure that children are able to seize, celebrate and enjoy the wealth of opportunities offered by the Internet, Twitter, Facebook, blogging and other new technology – safely. An expert in social media and all things digital, she has written a soundly researched, much-needed and timely book full of practical tips, advice and information on how to keep children safe online.  She puts the Internet scare stories and distorted statistics in context and provides clear and sensible guidelines.

Dr Bex Lewis is Research Fellow in Social Media and Online Learning for CODEC, St John’s College, Durham University, and has over 17 years of experience in the digital environment.
