So, I’m staying at my parents, in the middle of nowhere – I came on the train, so no wheels. Was going to go to midnight service with my Mum last night, but she’s fighting off a cold – so instead I ended up working on my consultancy website (I always used to use Christmas to have a big tidy up in my room – to fit in any new things – guess am doing the same with online materials – giving space to be able to focus on the projects that are important in 2013!). As I was up late, I wasn’t quite awake to leave the house at 8am for the Christmas morning service in the village, so extremely thankful that Christmas service activity is decently active this morning (despite the fact that the signal is a little shoddy). My brother goes to Lansdowne Baptist, and so I joined their service a little late (loved watching the kids talking about their presents):
And tagged a few thoughts:
So, as you may have noticed I’ve been following #ChristmasstartswithChrist, or sometimes #cswc (unfortunate that it’s 2 hashtags – more likely to trend if we’d stuck with one – it hasn’t yet I don’t think – and I’m guessing this morning has been busiest time for Church services!):
I’ve been particularly privileged to follow some of my friend Anna’s sermon from Pip & Jim’s – especially love – no need to spring clean our lives before meeting Jesus:
I’ve not been “feeling particularly Christmassy” so this piece from Kate Bruce is great to refocus the mind – that Christmas truly starts with Christ!
However, heading off to check out #adventbookclub, then I guess I might get dressed… apparently we do have ‘pigs in blankets’ so that’s OK then 🙂
