Last month my average daily walking distance was 2 Last month my average daily walking distance was 2.2km ... this month trying to get it to 3.1km average to reflect the 31 people in the U.K. who will die of metastatic breast cancer - of which at some point #IAmThe31. I’m finding the distance a stretch but with @metupukorg we’re trying to get better options for ourselves and those who come after ...
Although data collection isn’t brilliant, and is Although data collection isn’t brilliant, and is based on past cases, on Secondary Breast Cancer Day I’m reminded the median life average is 2/3-5 years, and for triple negative, 1 year. As the oncologist said - we’re all individuals, but only about 1 in 10 (not quite sure on that number) will make it to 10 years ... So would really appreciate if friends/family, and anyone with large social networks, would share our campaign #IAmThe31 - we have no funding, most of us are trying to work alongside treatment, whilst dealing with the mental and physical stress of treatment/knowledge of foreshortened life ... and the charities tend to largely focus on primary awareness campaigns ...
